The artist will live premiere her new single "Put It in a Song" in addition to accepting the first June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award. There will be much to celebrate when Trisha Yearwood returns to the CMT Awards in 2024.
In addition to performing a brand-new song from her upcoming album, "Put It in a Song," at tonight's performance at Austin's Moody Center, the 59-year-old country singer will also receive the first June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award in recognition of her commitment to community service. Yearwood, who last saw the performance in 2019, looked amazing on the red carpet to celebrate her big night.
She looked stunning in all black, but there were a lot of bells and whistles on it. Yearwood added drama to her ankle-length turtleneck dress with long sleeves that culminated in a plethora of magnificent feathers. The outfit was adorned in black sequins.

Beth Bernard, Yearwood's sister, also attended. Bernard chose a suit, but she dressed in full black, matching Yearwood. There was a hint of floral detailing on one shoulder and one trouser leg of her jacket and slacks.

When Yearwood last attended the CMT Awards, she went alone and wore a black ruffled dress tucked under a marble-print jacket. For a little touch of Western flair, she added large earrings, a bolo necklace, and shoes with snake prints. She then got ready for a fierce performance with Carly Pearce, Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker, Martina McBride, Lauren Alaina, and RaeLynn, wearing a bejeweled shirt and pants.
Yearwood is presently recording new music and filming the docuseries Friends in Low Places on Prime Video, which follows the establishment of their Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk in Nashville.
